Stairwell Guard Instructions

Chalford Stairwell Guards are a quick to install temporary protection barrier that will cordon off work areas where personnel or materials need protection.

There are three models available:

STANDARD - Used on straight runs

CORNER - Used on 90 Deg. corners

'L' TYPE - Where a 90 Deg dog leg angle is required

Simply screw through the holes in the floor plate. Drop in and screw through 3” x 2” timber for the top board and knee board. The lower can be the same timber or a scaffold board.

Posts are made from 50 x 50 x 2.5mm hollow section, and the base plate is in 3mm mild steel plate with four 7mm fixing holes for screws.

The side and top timber hangers are in 5mm mild steel with 7mm fixing holes for screws.

The recommended space between each post is 1.5m maximum.
